Catherine Kangas, RDH, BS
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist,
Owner and Founder of Integrative Myo

Catherine graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M College of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Over the last several years, she has been a part of dentistry in multiple different capacities: chairside as a dental hygienist, dental laser technology specialist, and now as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist.

Her personal story is ultimately what drew her to pursue myofunctional therapy and she hasn't looked back since. After discovering an undiagnosed tongue tie and other myofunctional disorders affecting her son's sleep quality and overall health, she knew this is what she was meant to do. Her goal is to help people gain access to the care they need, spread awareness on airway health, and be a valuable resource to the community of Houston. She is the proud owner of Integrative Myo where she does her very best to provide quality customized care for each of her patients.

Catherine received her initial training through the MyoMentor program in partnership with The Breathe Institute. She has continued her training through The Breathe Institute as a graduate of the Myo Masterminds course as well as completing additional continuing education each year. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry and Airway Circle. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.

Gina Kruse, RDH, BS
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist

Gina, a proud Native Texan, has been married for 34 years and has two adult children. She has one precious grandson who she enjoys spending as much time with as possible. One of her favorite activities is spending time with her grandson teaching him how to work in the garden and appreciate nature. Gina and her husband also love to travel when time allows.

She received her dental hygiene certification at University of Texas Dental Branch and has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. Gina's commitment to helping people through dentistry led her to continue her education in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMDs) through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and MyoMentor. She is committed to ongoing education to increase her knowledge of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) and airway health.

Her passion for OMT stemmed from her own journey with a surprising diagnoses of sleep apnea in 2008. Treating her apnea with a mandibular advancement device without understanding that it was a temporary solution led to more intense symptoms. This journey to find the root cause and better solutions for her health through OMT has been life changing. Gina's passion and drive to help people breathe, sleep and live better is unmatched!
